THIS NOVEMBER: Creating Economic Opportunity Through APEC

The APEC CEO Summit 2023 is an opportunity to join world leaders and business executives in discussions focused on challenges and opportunities impacting communities across the Asia-Pacific region.

As Chair, the United States is hosting APEC for the first time since 2011, bringing together 21 economies from around the Asia-Pacific to collaborate on the shared goal of creating a more open, resilient, sustainable, and peaceful future for the people of the world’s most dynamic region. The U.S. government is organizing events to advance initiatives on climate change, economic inclusion, and digital transformation, under the theme: Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All.

The APEC CEO Summit 2023 will reflect APEC’s 21 members’ shared goal of Creating Economic Opportunity. Aligned with this goal, the summit will address issues that affect all communities in the region in four key pillars:

  1. Sustainability: Actionable climate-conscious solutions, biodiversity and resource efficiency
  2. Inclusion: Addressing the needs of small businesses, workers and underrepresented communities
  3. Resilience: Disaster readiness, strengthening supply chains and preparing economies for future challenges
  4. Innovation: Tech, global healthcare and digital transformation

The APEC CEO Summit 2023 will reinforce the value private sector engagement brings to APEC and its member economies, and reaffirm the importance of public-private dialogue in promoting global economic development and collaboration. Preview the APEC CEO Summit 2023 program agenda here.
