A FOCUS ON RESILIENCE: Creating Economic Opportunity Amid Global Transformations

In a post-COVID world, economic recovery must build on lessons learned and prioritize resilience. Bolstering disaster readiness, fostering robust supply chains, and creating platforms for collaboration will better support large and small businesses, workers, and communities across the Asia-Pacific region.

The APEC CEO Summit 2023 will focus on how to create economic opportunities in the face of sweeping global transformations driven by climate change, technological advancements, and other challenges.

At the Summit, business executives, APEC leaders, and other stakeholders will engage in high-level dialogues and fireside chat sessions addressing resilience-related topics, including:

  • Building readiness and resilience of business
  • Partnerships for disaster preparedness and recovery
  • Strengthening social systems and structures
  • Infrastructure development

Business leaders championing resilience in the region will address APEC CEO Summit 2023 delegates with their unique perspectives.

“We are honored to contribute to the APEC dialogue on creating economic opportunity in the region through a focus on sustainability, inclusion, resilience, and innovation. The world is facing headwinds and complex challenges that require public-private collaboration to solve, and we are committed to playing our part in helping to deliver sustained outcomes across the APEC economies and beyond.” – Bob Moritz, Global Chair, PwC

“If we have learned anything from the past few years, it is that global supply chains cannot be taken for granted. I am excited to connect in person again with public and private sector leaders to discuss how our collaboration can strengthen supply chains, making them more intelligent and resilient.   The unparalleled FedEx logistics network keeps the global economy moving, and we are looking at ways to use data as we build smarter supply chains for our customers and the world.” – Raj Subramaniam, CEO, FedEx
